About Lorna Lorraine
I am Lorna Lorraine, a self-taught Abstract Expressionist Artist who specialized in mixed-media Art and portraits in Pastel but is currently on a new explorative path. I am motivated by the way I inspire others with the storytelling in my work. I recognized my ability to express my plausible theories into abstract realism at the age of 50. Lorna, This is a marvellous portrait, and yes I can see her wounded past by looking into her eyes,,,you have very masterfully painted a real story of past hurts, superimposing her angelically illuminated face.against an unfeeling stark black background . Your comp, is great, by placing her just off center, she is tentatively deciding whether to fully make her entrance....many of us have been where she is,,,, takes a few steps, sometimes years,,,,,,to go from background to spotlight,,, but its always soo worth the effort,!!!,,,, Carole.
